Flooding, again

Well, the river is flooding for the second time in 3 years. And we've only been up here 4! The last flood was in 2011 and everybody said it was the first flood since the 70s. We're up on a hill so we're fine, but we can't get to town and the driveway is so bad we can't get the car down it. My husband has to take the truck to work. We had a LOT of snow in the last storm that hit the first if the month. Nowhere did we have less than a foot on the ground and the drifts were 4' deep. After the storm passed, the weather warmed up drastically and all the snow melted in just 2-3 days. And now it's raining. We're supposed to get a couple inches out of it. My barn is half flooded, the driveway is a mess, all the gullies are raging creeks and the river is, well...................very, very, very overfull! I wish I had pictures of the river, but I can't get down to it. Oh well. This, too, shall pass, right?
