The Simplest of Things

Kids can have the most fun with the simplest of things! We had some gravel delivered today, mostly river rock from the river (duh). The kids have been having a blast going through it and finding neat rocks and agates to polish and add to their museum. They've also found a couple of musselshells. There's a lot of those here, the river is named the Musselshell River after all. :)

Here's an interesting thing they found. I don't know what it is, any ideas?

And here is their 'museum'. This is where they get to display all their treasures and write up little descriptions and info about them. As you can tell, it's just getting started, they are having a lot of fun, though.

    1. Yeah, I was wondering about that. I don't think it's a cow, at least it doesn't match anything on any of our jawbones laying around. Guess I'll have to go find a horse to look at. :)
      Thanks!
