What to do for a first blog post? Should it be an introduction? Should I just jump right in there? I don't know, I've never done this before. So, it'll probably be a bit of both and maybe something else thrown in for fun.
So, without further ado, here I am! What do I do? I stay home with the kids, the animals, the garden.......I homestead! We raise an assortment of animals and are always working on making the garden better. We also have some fruit trees started, but it'll be a bit before they produce much.
I also homeschool. In fact, at the moment I'm trying to get organized for the upcoming year. I haven't been all that good at organization yet, but the oldest child is getting to the point that I need to keep better records and she's able to start to do more independent work. So............................................. This will be complicated by the fact that kiddo #3 will be along in 3-4 weeks. That ought to throw a wrench in any schedule! I have some ideas, but the hard part is to come up with something we'll stick with. Any ideas?
Where do we live? We live in south central Montana. It's a beautiful place to live! It can be a bit challenging at times, but that keeps things interesting. What's the fun in gardening without the constant threat of drought, hail, wind damage, insect damage and freezing in the middle of summer? It does make one so much more appreciative of what you've got, when you actually get to have it on occasion!
I was told that a blog can only be successful if it has a focus. I thought about that, but if this is to be mostly a reflection of our life, it's gonna be a bit scatterbrained. That's just the way it is. If it turns out nobody likes, it, I can just talk to myself. :D
