Praying Mantis Babies

When I was a kid we had praying mantis everywhere! We played with them all the time and I remember some huge ones. Since moving out to this part of the country, I haven't seen them and my kids have never seen one. So, I decided to order a couple egg sacks to see if they'd hatch for us. I put one in the garden and one in a jar in the house. After a month or so, the ones in the
house hatched. We watched them  and held a couple for about half an hour, then released them into the garden. I hope some will survive and reproduce, I'd love to have some around again.
