Well, it's been a while......

But nothing blog worthy has popped up. Things have just been chugging along. We did end up with a new dog after Bear died. We weren't going to but this dog came to our attention in desperate need of a home so, of course, we said yes. So, say hi to Angus.

He's an anatolian/spanish mastiff cross. He's a rather large baby and loves to be in your face and, preferably, in your lap. He's always in on whatever you're doing, which complicates a few tasks, but he's a darling!

He did point out a few weak spots in our fence so we did have replace 200' of fence but that's done and he's stayed put ever since.

Then, when I took our cow to get bred, our remaining freezer cow decided to go on walkabout. I thought we'd seen the last of her, but after roughly a month someone found her in with their cows and brought her back, so we get to eat again. :)

And yesterday we got our first sticking snow and real winter temps. It snowed all yesterday with a high of 30. It made the roads an icy mess! We did get a couple inches that stuck and this morning, the sunrise was gorgeous! The snow had all got that flaky, crystal look it gets when it gets really cold. It was 2F when I got up this morning.

It was a beautiful, still morning. We're supposed to get 20 + mph winds today, though, that won't be fun. So I guess I'd better get busy and get the rest of my outdoor chores done this morning!
