Well, yesterday was baby day. Our last goat finally had her kids, twins. Lamanch/boer cross. Not what we were hoping for, but I think our boer buck is a dud. :( Anyway, the kids are still cute!
Our other babies are chicks. A really nice lady I know is lending us her cabinet incubator. This thing is REALLY cool! I've never had much fun incubating, but I never got to work with a good incubator before. This thing is just awesome! Anyway we have several batches going in there and when it's time to pull them, I put them in a homemade incubator. It doesn't hold temp good enough to go from start to finish, but it works great as a hatcher. We got 19 chicks so far out of 25 eggs. Not bad considering I have one rooster and 30 something hens.
