Earthworms of some sort
I was clearing the mulch off of the marionberries the other day and man, oh man! are there TONS of worms! I actually found several mating pairs in there, something I'd never actually seen before. Kinda cool.
They had these little band like things that were sort of tying them together. You can kind of see it in the pics, but it was much more obvious in real life.
