Huh, what do ya know?

So, I was going through a couple boxes that were stored away, to see what the heck was in them and if I could get rid of it. I figured I probably could since I'd been living without this stuff a couple of years now. I'm soooo glad I went through them before tossing!! Most of it was junk, but I did find two things that I have been looking for for a looong time.

First was this little apron. Several years ago I made oldest child one for Christmas. We're talking 6-8 years ago, now. She absolutely loved it and wore it till it fell apart. Since I am miles, and miles, and miles away from being a seamstress, I made this one first to practice a bit. It's 'boring' colors for a little kid but was what I had in the way of scraps and leftovers. It may not be bright, but youngest child is enchanted with it just the same. I've been kinda keeping an eye out for it for a while but thought maybe I'd given it away.

She keeps bugging me to cook now. :) Make meat, mom, pleeeeease?

This is the material I used for oldest child's actual present. It was trimmed with red that exactly matched the red in the print.

  1. Hi Kat,
I just love your blog! Came across this one recently and went all the way back to read every one. Your rugs are lovely and I admire and appreciate your handiwork, as well. I am planning to move back to Montana next summer (somewhere in ther Northwest corner). I tried to figure out how to subscribe to your blog but not sure how to do it. It asked for an application (?). Not sure what that is. Perhaps you could give me a clue. I usually receive blogs I subscribe to vias my e-mail address
which is:...quitaholliday56@gmail.com. Best wishes for a happy new year. Mariquita Holliday.

    1. Thank you very much! I think I added a subscribe by email to the top right of the blog, I'm not real computer savvy. :) Let me know if it works!

The northwest part of Montana is sooo pretty! I'd love to live out in that part of the state, but it didn't work out. That's ok, our part of the state is very nice, too!
