I had recently noticed a strange growth in my dogs' eyes. It's a strange, mucousy looking patch with blood vessels in it. I looked for info, but I am extremely google challenged. So I asked about it on a forum I frequent, hoping somebody would have some sort of info. I was right, a wonderful lady recognized it as pterygium, a condition caused and exacerbated by wind, sun and dirt. From my research, it appears that unless it's bothering her (it's not) or getting big enough to interfere with vision, nothing need be done. I'm still going to take her into the vet after the holidays, but it's always good to go in armed with some info. Meanwhile, I'll try to somewhat limit the dog's outdoor playtime. She won't be happy with me.
I got a fairly good pic that I'll post here as it's kinda cool looking in a creepy sort of way.
And thanks for the help wonderful lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!
