Cold weather and winter wood supplies

Weather is a funny thing. We normally go through roughly 10 cords of wood a year. Our place is not very well insulated as yet. Last year was a mild winter and we actually had wood left over. I don't think that's going to happen this year. We had a mild fall, well into November. Then we hit a cold that lasted roughly 6 weeks, a couple weeks of warm (relatively), a bit of cold, etc. By mid January, we have gone through as much wood as we did all last year. If it's a long, cold spring, we may fall a bit short. Oh, well, won't be the first time. :)

On a bright note, I have seedlings growing! Several herbs have some up, a clematis vine in a pot that I thought was dead and I have several cutting from my houseplants started. I don't know why I started the cuttings, I don't need any more houseplants but I just enjoy starting and growing stuff. Anybody want any? :D
